Adam offers three services for writers of all skill levels: 1. Script Consultations (for finished drafts), 2. Story Building (for writers starting a story), 3. Story Therapy (for continued, ongoing development of a story).
STORY THERAPY: "Adam saved me, a damsel-in-structural-distress. With the ingenious fail-safe structure-boards he developed, my script finally found its right foundation. Also astounding was how he enveloped the world and mind of my characters, fully bringing their points of view and feelings to life. Adam’s heart-felt instruction made a script I worked on for years in better shape than it ever was.” – Carmit (New York, Israel)
SCRIPT CONSULTATION: "Working with Adam Jones is a pleasure. After every session with Adam I find that my imagination has been broadened and I am eager to rush back to work. He not only makes my writing better; he makes me a better writer." – Jonathan (New York)
STORY BUILDS: “Best advice I’ve ever received! You took my story from a vague idea and turned it into a tangible script in my hands. Thank you for your genius ideas and inspiration.” – Youssef (London)

2. Story Building
DESCRIPTION: Hourly consulting. This is Jones’ ongoing scheduled assistance and mentoring service, much like how one might schedule time with a lawyer, therapist, or masseuse. Jones’ unique approach to story and his non-linear style of structuring using his Movement Technique are what makes his guidance and insight invaluable. It is hands down the easiest system for navigating a story in any format — big screen, little, stage, or prose. For all discussions of outlines, drafts in progress, or ideas in general (beyond the traditional script coverage service), Jones uses an hourly rate (currently $100) — like a lawyer on retainer, where you pre-pay for his time. To schedule an appt, email inquiries to: email@example.com.
Flat hourly rate: Pay-As-You-Go story therapy = $100/hour
5-for-4 Bundle: Pre-Pay 4 hour-long sessions, get a 5th session free = $400
30-for-$30 Special Intro session: Jones offers a one-time introductory Skype call at $30 for 30 minutes. This is to determine compatibility for further sessions and give you some helpful beginner advice.
1 – STORY BUILDING (from scratch): A walk-thru in which Jones helps you create your story from scratch by asking you all the right questions and assists in plugging your story ideas and events into the right places of an overall structure. Highly recommended for first-time or novice writers, this service will get your ideas out of your head and onto the page.
2 – SCRIPT TUNE-UP (from a finished script): For the continued fixing-up (walk-thru) of an already finished script. Let Jones guide you thru your story, as he assists you in turning things on in scenes that may not have been working before, cranking your conflict and stakes up to “11,” and making sure the story you are trying to tell is communicated clearly on the page.
NOTE: Consultations for production companies negotiated separately.
